Increased lift capacity and lift height
Move massive amounts of material fast with an LM5000 Series telehandler. A combination of operator efficiency and raw power and lifting performance makes these machines the most effective way to load, stack, scoop and dig. Designed and manufactured by New Holland, these machines feature the rugged construction you need to handle tough ag applications.
Rugged LM5000 telehandlers give you the agility and reach to do what skid steers, tractors with front loaders, wheel loaders and fork lifts can't:
- Stack round bales or large square bales six to eight levels high.
- Scoop a bucket of silage from the very top of a bunker silo.
- Extend a load of feed over a corral to a feeder that's over 12 feet inside the fence.
- Completely load or unload a semi trailer of large square bales from one side.
- Load trucks with 13-foot sides.
- Three models feature increased lifting performance, with a maximum lift capacity up to 8,800 pounds and a lift height up to 31.5 feet.
A new side engine design provides better machine balance for greater stability and faster, more productive operation.
The larger, more spacious cab is designed for operator comfort with reduced noise levels and outstanding visibility.
Traction in slippery conditions is no problem thanks to full-time four-wheel drive, four large tires and a limited slip differential in the front axle. Maneuverability can be matched to any application with a choice of three steering modes:
- Front-wheel steer, for maximum control at transport speeds
- Circle steer for maximum maneuverability and tight turning
- Crab steer for stacking pallets or when working beside a wall or building.
- The 4 x 3 powershift transmission allows for clutchfree, on-the-go shifting.
In addition to better machine balance, the side-engine design greatly improves visibility to the right and rear of the machine, traditionally blind spots for telehandler operators.
120-horsepower, Tier III 4-cylinder engines, that can run on environmentally friendly biodiesel (meeting ASTM 6751 standards) or traditional diesel fuel, power all three LM5000 models.
An oversized radiator is located at the rear of the engine pod—unlike many competitive models—where it will stay cleaner in dirty operating conditions. For extremely dirty conditions, a reversible fan is available.
The cab is rounded with a huge glass area and a large roof window that provides a view to the load in the raised position.
Grouped controls, a seat-mounted joystick, and standard high-capacity heating and air conditioning provide maximum operator comfort.
An open platform with ROPS is available on the LM5080. It has the same expansive visibility as cabbed units and is ideal in light construction as a multi-purpose tool carrier.
You can accomplish numerous chores using a wide variety of attachments, including an assortment of buckets, pallet forks, bale spikes, bale fork, bale grapple, silage facer, truss boom and more.
An attachment quick-coupler allows fast interchange of attachments. The simple mechanical locking mechanism makes changing attachments easy by removing a single locking pin. For even more convenience, a hydraulic lock is available.
New Holland also offers two adapters: one that allows the use of many skid steer loader attachments and one that fits attachments designed for John Deere 3000 Series telehandlers.
