Head of the class

For farm operators who are at the top of their game, New Holland introduces the T8000 Series tractors. They’re at the head of the class with unrivaled pulling power, hydraulic power, lift capacity, turning performance and comfort that pushes your operational efficiency over the top.

T8000 engines offer increased horsepower—up to 270 PTO hp and up to 44 PTO hp power growth. These engines deliver proven power at the drawbar and plenty of lugging power for demanding conditions.

Equip your T8000 tractor with the transmission that best suits your operation:

  • 18 x 4 powershift transmission (standard)
  • 19 x 4 powershift transmission with a fuel-saving overdrive for transport
  • 19 x 4 powershift transmission with a top speed of 31 mph (50 kph)
  • 23 x 6 shift through creeper powershift transmission
  • The T8000 hydraulic system delivers hydraulic flow up to 75 gallons per minute when you add the MegaFlow™ option—far more than you’ll find on other tractors in this class—to operate the largest, most productive seeders and implements at maximum efficiency.

Select the T8000 front axle that best suits your needs:

  • Standard FWD
  • Exclusive, tight-turning SuperSteer™ FWD axle
  • Terraglide™ FWD axle  for precise traction and a smooth ride.

The quiet T8000 cab is designed to keep you and your operators performing at your best with superior visibility, easy controls and maximum comfort.

A variety of tire, wheel and ballast options are available, including rear duals and triples. Front dual wheels are also available to provide more traction, front-end stability and reduced soil compaction.

Equip your T8000 tractor with the optional IntelliSteer™ auto-steering system for perfect rows every time. It uses GPS to return you to the same row position throughout the season, and once in the row steering is automatic.

The IntelliView™ Plus II color display monitor is included with IntelliSteer. It allows you to perform calibrations, data storage control, and operational functions at the tip of your fingers.

The longer wheelbase of a T8000 tractor—no matter which axle you choose—gives you a power-to-weight ratio advantage and a better overall ride.

T8000 tractors offer easier servicing compared to competitive tractors, providing easy-to-reach maintenance points and state-of-the-art troubleshooting.

Add a New Holland 870TL front-end loader to your T8000 tractor to lift and move loads last.

26 pounds of soybeans are used to create the rustproof polymer/soybean compound of every T8000 cab roof. New Holland takes the interests of farm producers seriously and is proud to support soybean growers by utilizing their product in T8000 tractors.

A 1000-rpm PTO is standard equipment. For added versatility with smaller implements, choose the optional dual speed 540/1000 rpm PTO.

New Holland T8000 tractors fly through heavy tillage, disking and ripping jobs with power to spare, thanks to their six-cylinder, turbocharged, 8.3-liter New Holland engines (9.0-liter on the T8050). Responding with up to 56% PTO torque rise and a power growth of up to 44 horsepower, these engines actually increase horsepower as the engine pulls down to slower rpms when the going gets tough. Fuel economy improves at slower engine speed as well. It’s the kind of power that lets you cover more acres, in less time, with less fuel.

The large 8.3-liter (9.0-liter on the T8050) engine displacement of T8000 engines contributes to a higher torque response and a longer engine life. A rated speed of 2200 rpm improves fuel efficiency and overall reliability and durability.

Expect up to 18 hours of continuous operation without refueling, thanks to the outstanding fuel efficiency and a large 180-gallon fuel capacity.

A New Holland electronic common rail fuel injection system boosts T8000 tractor fuel efficiency. An electronically controlled injector delivers precise quantities of high-injection fuel to each individual cylinder, eliminating plunger pumping elements and long individual injection lines to each cylinder. The higher injection pressures result in better atomization of the fuel and a cleaner burn, resulting in increased fuel economy, improved low end torque and reduced emissions.

Constant engine speed control—or “cruise control”—is another advantage of the full-authority electronic fuel control system. You can set the maximum engine rpm for constant-speed applications like planting and spraying, or take advantage of peak horsepower and fuel economy during tillage operations by setting a constant engine speed to 2000 rpm. For turns, you control engine speed with the hand throttle, or foot throttle when equipped.

No matter which of the four T8000 transmissions you choose, you get a minimum of 18 forward speeds, and eight speeds in the 3 to 8 mph tillage range. That’s more than you’ll find on most tractors in this class. All four are electronic, full powershift transmissions with straightline, forward-reverse powershifting and a 25- or 31-mph road travel speed. And, all provide AutoShift™ convenience during field and road operation. All are full-powershift transmsissions.

  • The 18 x 4 powershift transmission provides eight working speeds in the 3 to 8 mph tillage range, with a smooth, approximately 14% speed change between gears.
  • The 19 x 4 powershift transmission provides an overdrive gear, reducing engine speed for improved fuel savings during transport and a 31 mph travel speed to increase your productivity (some additional options required).
  • The 23 x 6 shift through creeper powershift transmission offers all of the same features as the 18 x 4, plus two additional reverse gears and an additional five forward speeds from .54 to 1.68 mph. No need to stop to engage creep gears—simply shift through on the go.

The transmission control lever is located in a comfortable position for your arm on the right-hand armrest console. Move the lever forward and you move forward. Pull it back and you’re in reverse—no clutching required. Two buttons on the side of the control lever allow you to move up or down through the powershift gears with the push of your thumb.

AutoShift
With a push of the new three-position AutoShift button on the armrest console, the T8000 transmission converts to an automatic transmission. The AutoShift feature can be used at the same time as the constant engine speed feature, but does not function in creeper or reverse gears. Now icons on the corner post show the AutoShift function that is active.

Automatic Road Operation
For Automatic Road Operation, push the top side of the AutoShift button when you are in gears 11 and above and you can operate the tractor using only the throttle. The tractor will upshift or downshift as you press or release the throttle.

Automatic Field Operation
Automatic Field Operation engages at gear 11 and below and automatically maintains tractor performance under varying loads in the field based on engine speed and engine load. The transmission automatically downshifts when load increases, then returns to the selected gear when conditions improve. Push the bottom side of the AutoShift button to engage Auto Field.

A push of the Custom Headland Management switch (models equipped with Performance Instrumentation) allows you to automatically throttle back, change gears and raise the implement at the end of each row. A switch under the padded armrest allows you to “record” and “play back” two separate sequences—one for exiting the row, and the second for entering a row. Up to 30 steps can be recorded for both sequences combined. Adjustments can include functions like up-shifting, down-shifting, engine speed, hydraulic remote valve functions, differential lock, FWD engagement and three-point hitch position.

A programmable upshift/downshift switch (models equipped with standard instrumentation) simplifies headland turns by allowing you to program the number of gears—from one to four—that you want to downshift for your turn at the headland. Then, at the end of the row, you simply depress both the upshift/downshift button and the Hitch Up/Down switch rearward to downshift and raise the implement, make your turn, and depress both buttons forward to shift up and lower the hitch.

T8000 tractors allow you to operate the most advanced seeders and specialty equipment with unprecedented hydraulic flow—up to 75 gallons per minute on two separate circuits with the MegaFlow™ option. Power at the three-point hitch is awesome, too—up to 18,590 pounds lift capacity—so you can harness the productivity of the largest implements.

A single, high-efficiency, closed-center, load-sensing (CCLS) variable-displacement piston pump is the heart of the New Holland system. It provides an outstanding 44 gallons per minute (gpm) flow on demand to the three-point hitch, hydraulic remotes, steering and trailer brake systems (optional).

The MegaFlow™ hydraulic option adds an independent CCLS piston pump to the standard system to increase total flow to a best-in-class 75 gallons per minute. Since the two pumps provide two separate circuits, you can simultaneously operate two systems—a low-flow/high-pressure system from one remote, and a high-flow/low-pressure system from another.

With up to five electro-hydraulic remote valves, you get maximum flexibility. Three electro-hydraulic remote valves are standard on all T8000 models, with a fourth and fifth optional. (Four remote valves are standard with the MegaFlow option.)

Individual remote levers are conveniently located on the right-hand armrest console and are color coded to the remote couplers. Remote valve flow controls, master timer and secondary three-point hitch controls are located under the armrest.

Standard Performance Instrumentation monitor gives you get the added convenience of individually programmable remote valve timers and a visual percent of flow readout from each valve.

Impressive three-point lift capacity allows you to harness the power of the largest implements on the market today. When equipped with the increased lift option, T8000 tractors provide a three-point lift capacity from 16,375 to 18,590 pounds, depending on model. Standard lift capacity is also impressive—from 14,084 to 18,590 pounds depending on model.

The innovative New Holland three-point hitch geometry not only improves lift capacity, it actually improves the traction, control and stability of your tractor. The angle of pull created by upper and lower link location places more weight on the front axle during heavy loads, which transfers to the rear axle during draft control operations, improving traction and stability.

A convenient Hitch Up/Down switch on the right armrest console allows you to raise or lower the hitch without changing other hitch adjustments.

Dynamic Ride Control™ hydraulically adjusts the three-point hitch to cushion the load of heavy, mounted implements to improve ride quality and control during transport.

Electronic Draft Control (EDC) is standard on all models and can be used to maintain a constant draft load on the three-point hitch through varying soil conditions, or to maintain a slip rate that you set.

Various hitch and drawbar options are available to match the work you do. A swinging drawbar is standard equipment, and a high-capacity, heavy-duty drawbar optional to handle the heavier loads of large grain carts, front fold planters and liquid manure wagons. An optional auto-pin hammerstrap automatically drops and latches the pin when you hook up to implements.

An optional, hydraulically controlled top link allows you to change the tilt of the implement on-the-go by simply utilizing a remote valve 4 or 5, depending on the option configuration of the tractor. A sliding scale position indicator gives you a quick visual reference for easier implement hook-up.

Long lower links are optional to increase the tire clearance and hitch transport ground clearance needed with deep tillage implements.

An optional front hitch gives you added flexibility to handle chemical tanks and front ballast weights.

You can equip your T8000 tractor with standard FWD or one of two innovative FWD options—the exclusive, tight-turning SuperSteer™ FWD axle, or the Terraglide™ suspended FWD axle that provides an ultra-smooth ride and precision traction on rough ground.

SuperSteer
The SuperSteer FWD axle has made T8000 tractors the the row-crop tractors of choice. That’s because a T8000 tractor with SuperSteer gives you an amazing 16.5 foot* turning radius. That kind of sharp turning saves time at the end of every row.

How SuperSteer works:

The SuperSteer axle is attached to the tractor with a robust, heavy-duty ball-and-socket joint. As the tractor turns, the whole axle pivots to a maximum of 20 degrees, allowing the outside wheel to move forward, in front of the nose of the tractor. This provides more tire clearance and, when added to the 45 degree maximum turn angle of the wheel ends, gives an effective steer angle of 65 degrees.

Terraglide
The optional Terraglide suspended FWD axle improves stability, traction and control by providing 4.4 inches of travel to keep the front tires in contact with the ground over rough terrain and at 31 mph maximum transport speed. This constant power to the ground improves stability, traction, steering control, and reduces the vibration and shocks that reach the cab.

You can easily disengage the Terraglide system when needed, allowing your T8000 tractor to perform operations that require precise front end control.

The electrohydraulic differential lock option (standard with Terraglide front axle) provides added traction to deal with difficult conditions. With one switch you can engage both front and rear differential locks so that all four wheels turn at the same speed so you can easily pull through slick spots, or get the straight-line steering you need when opening up a field or lining up an implement for proper overlap.

The Terra Lock feature allows you to automatically engage or disengage the differential locks and FWD when turning the steering wheel.

* Measured using 380/85 R34 front tires.

The T8000 cab is designed around a basic principle: the better you feel, the better you perform. The best-in-class cab volume of 109.5 cubic feet allows you to stretch out and get comfortable.

68.5 square feet of glass area is tops in the industry and provides an awesome view. The cab’s rounded corners and curved glass provide 360-degree visibility, and the narrow, sloped hood gives you a straight-line view down to the rows.

A deluxe air-suspension seat cushions bumps and includes an adjustable heat control that cycles on and off during the day to provide a massaging effect. The T8000 seat fits your body perfectly, moving front and back and providing adjustments for firmness, weight, height, swivel, lumbar support and fore/aft isolation—all standard.
